Effective May 1, 2007, specTra, together with Kleinerwefers Beteiligungs GmbH, Krefeld, acquired the essential assets of TAG Textile Equipment Company Schroers GmbH & Co. KG, Krefeld, from RA Eberhardt Stock, the company's insolvency administrator.

TAG refines technical textiles (fabrics, laminates, technical yarns, etc.) and carpets and produces at three locations with over 200 employees.

Customers from various areas, such as the automotive, home textiles, construction and carpet industries, were served, but also special items, for example for military applications, were produced. Together with its customers, TAG developed specific solutions up to serial maturity.

At the end of 2011, specTra transferred its shares to the main shareholder, who is further developing TAG as part of a strategic realignment. Parts of the technical textiles were merged with a sister company or their activities were brought into this.
