In June 2005, specTra accompanied the takeover of the insolvent Rungis Express AG, Meckenheim, from the insolvency administrator Dr. Andreas Ringstmeier as part of a so-called asset deal.

Rungis Express is the leading German wholesaler for gourmet food with an annual turnover of € 40-45 million and supplies upscale hotels and restaurants in Germany and Austria.

A partner of specTra was represented on the company's supervisory board and thus actively supported the company's realignment and strategy.

In December 2006 specTra and the investors advising by specTra successfully sold their investments to the majority shareholder Cool Chain Group AG.

Rungis has been part of the Metro Group since April 2016.
