At the time of acquisition, TAG finished technical textiles (fabrics, laminates, technical yarns, etc.) and carpets and produced at three sites with over 200 employees.

Customers from diverse sectors, such as the automotive, home textiles, construction and carpet industries, were served, but special articles, e.g. for military applications, were also produced. Together with its customers, TAG developed specific solutions to serial maturity.

At the end of 2011, specTra transferred its shares to the main shareholder, who is further developing TAG as part of a strategic realignment. Parts of the technical textiles business were merged with a sister company or its activities were transferred to the latter.
